Only a few minutes ago, I was standing outside, looking through my Dad's telescope, observing our neighbors in the solar system.
I could see Saturn and its rings; a ball with something wrapped around it, but still separate. I could see Jupiter and at least three of its moons (not sure about that fourth one). And I looked over the craters of our own moon; you would scrape up your hands so badly picking up that thing...
It was calming, in a way, to just step back and look around. To see things far greater than myself. And I think that this is something we all need to do more often: just take a few steps back, and look around. We get so wrapped up in our day-to-day lives that we forget that there's a whole world, a whole universe, out there.
Take a few minutes to unplug, and take in the world around you.
