Broken Logic Puzzle

This past week has been emotionally trying for me. It's gotten to the point in the semester when we the students of MATC register for classes next semester. I've been having some problems as of late while trying to do that.

The first was a schedule builder tool that told me that all the classes available were in conflict with each other. ALL of them. I'm not sure what was wrong there, though I do have an idea as to what was going on. There are seven classes, each one available at two different times. What I think was happening was that the schedule builder was looking at all fourteen items at once and putting them on a schedule, only to get time conflict after time conflict. I have no idea if that's true or not, but it would explain so much if it was.

The second problem came after I found the planner tool, which actually let me look at the individual times that the classes were available. I tried my hand at picking out a few, though it quickly got the better of me. There was simply too much to keep track of. Earlier today I settled in with a pencil and paper and wrote down all the days and times that each of the classes I need will be available. Doing it this way, I have all the information right in front of me, rather than having to click back and forth between about twenty web pages.

I know that I want to take Machine Tool in the afternoon, so I start with that. Everything else gets built around that. It's just a matter of looking at the times, crossing out the ones that don't work, and filling in the grid I drew on the paper to help me keep track of things. It was here that the third, and greatest problem arose.

Two of the classes I need to take are available only at the same time of day on the same day. Each of their alternate times would conflict with the afternoon Machine Tool class.

Somewhere along the line, somebody screwed up something, and now I have to deal with the fallout. This is causing me a great deal of stress, and I am having trouble coping. I still have a little over a week to get this problem resolved (that's how long registration is open for). I'm scared and uncertain as to what to do or who to approach about this. I have reached out to the academic advisor for the program via e-mail, though as of about half an hour ago, they haven't responded.
