Sometimes I have trouble doing things. Having to do the same thing again and again, every day just gets to me. After a while, I need to take a break from that something, or I will go crazy. At least, that's what it feels like.
I am a member of the website Dailybreak. I recently won the "Grand Slam" badge, which required that I log into the site every day, 365 days in a row. Having finally gotten this badge, I took a break from the site itself, just because I could (and wouldn't lose all my progress). I had originally meant it to be one day, but it ended up being something like three days.
What is probably a more extreme example is Swagbucks. I haven't properly been on that site in...over a month now, at least! It started out as missing a day here and there, then a full week, then most of a month, then full months. When I go back, I find that changes have been made that make me less inclined to visit again. (My go-to method for earning was watching videos, but they totally nerfed that by extending the playlists to absurd lengths.) I haven't been there recently, so I don't know how things are now, and I'm afraid to check.

It isn't just limited to online stuff. Looking back, one thing that occurs to me is attempts at getting more exercise in. Walking, weight-lifting, push-ups, planking. I would do it for a while, then miss a day, then multiple days, and the next thing I know, it's been weeks since I last did whatever exercise thing I was trying to get into.
I remember reading somewhere that for something to become a habit, you have to do it at least once a day, for at least 20 days in a row.
So, how many days of not doing something does it take for a habit to fall apart?
