Charts, Viewing, Problems

I find myself having a problem as of late. But before I get into that, I should probably back up and explain something.

A while back (what? A year and a half now?), I got really into creating D&D alignment charts for various cartoons and anime series. At this point, I've made over thirty, and am close to forty. I want to do at least fifty, and already have the fiftieth chart planned out. (For my 25th chart, I did something special: an expanded, 5X5 chart. I want to do the same for chart #50.)

However, I now find myself having trouble moving forward. It's been...I'm not even sure how long since I last made such a chart. My creation process involves binge-watching the series, which takes time and energy. I watched "Speed Grapher" and "Goblin Slayer", both of which left me feeling put-off, and tried watching "Biker Mice From Mars", only to lose interest in the series about halfway through. I find myself having trouble connecting to a series, and finding one that I can stand to watch more than once.

Some months back, I got a job. While this is a good thing for a variety of reasons, it does cut into the spare time I have, thus limiting my watching-hours. So even I do stick with a show, it takes more time to get through it. Just one more hazard of growing up, I guess...

Honestly, I think I've just lost interest in the project in general. This happens sometimes; I come across something by chance, and become obsessed with it for a time. After a while, my interest in the thing fades, my thoughts turn elsewhere, and eventually the object of my attention is abandoned. Case in point: there was this one period where I was really into making word squares. But I got over it.

Maybe I should just walk away from the project for a time. Instead of forcing myself to watch something and squeeze a chart out of it, I should just watch, and if inspiration strikes, try to make a chart out of it.

Maybe I should.

In any case, thank you for listening to me complain about my first-world problems.
