I had a really unsettling dream last night. I don't remember much of the specifics, but I do remember that for much of the dream, I was driving a car. And I was driving really, really badly.
There was simple acts of bad driving: speeding, swerving over the center yellow lines a little. But there was also more extreme acts. At one point, I somehow ended up driving on a bike path, unsure of how I got there, or how to get off. I ended up swerving off the bike path, went down a grassy slope, and merged onto the nearby road. And that wasn't even the worst thing I did.
At some point near the end of my dream, I realized that I was in the passenger's seat (not the driver's), reaching over to hold the wheel (I think I had cruise control on). Horrified by this seating error, I attempted to climb over the armrest/storage compartment in-between the two seats, while still driving. I got pulled over.
Having said all of this, I would like to add one thing: Please be a better driver than dream-me was. Thank you.
