Too Little or Too Late

Somewhat recently, I've gotten into After Hours photography. for those who are not familiar, After Hours is an aesthetic focusing on places (usually) at night, after people have left. I have taken pictures of a local park, a parking lot, and even a bike trail. For some time now, I have been toying with the idea of taking After Hours pictures of a construction site nearby. Unfortunately, as I found out about an hour ago, I missed my chance: construction work has been completed.

It seems like, all too often, this is how things go. I take too long to get involved in something, and when I finally do, it's too late. Something isn't there to be photographed. I get involved in stock trading; I buy some stocks, and then the economy shifts downward, and all my investments loses value. I get curious about NFT's, only to do some research and find that, apparently, that bubble already popped.

I try to do things, but they go unnoticed. I made some ASMR videos, but big deal - Youtube is already loaded up to the gills with similar videos. It doesn't help that most of the others are better quality than mine. Logically, I know that persistence is key (in nearly everything), but it's hard to muster up any kind of enthusiasm when my attempts keep falling flat.

And even then, suppose that I did gain some minor success? Good luck keeping it up. You have to constantly producing new material in order to stay relevant, otherwise you will be forgotten and ignored. This blog is a good example of that: back in the early days, I was getting some traffic. Not a lot, but some. Then my posting tapered off, and so did the views. Now, I'm back at it, sort of. And who is here to see it? No one. As of my writing this particular post, I haven't had a single view in the last twelve months.

So why do I keep writing here?

Honestly, I'm not sure.
